BELIEFS

While the Bible can't be summed up in a few bullet points, we'll try to give you a broad idea of the beliefs to which we hold.

• God the Creator is revealed uniquely and perfectly through his Son, Jesus Christ.
• Only the grace of God manifested in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ makes a relationship between imperfect humans and a perfect God possible.
• Our most important calling is to love God, and secondly, to love our neighbors.
• God desires that none of his children should perish or live in the bondage of sin, and has commissioned his church to take this message to the world.
• To receive the forgiveness and salvation that Jesus accomplished for all people, a person needs to trust in Jesus, turn from a sinful life and be baptized into Christ.
• Christians receive the Holy Spirit for assurance and empowerment.
• The church is not a building or institution, but a living body of imperfect humans seeking to love God and each other as God first loved us.
• Jesus is coming back to judge the world and take the children of God home to heaven.
